I like the plastic container that holds the batteries. I use 8 batteries for my CD Player, so I order 2 boxes. This will provide the batteries for several months when I need to replace the batteries in my player.These are good batteries but compared to amazon batteries they do not measure up. I used these for battery operated outdoor Christmas lights. They ran for 41 days at 6 hours a night. 246 hours. They all died on the same night. Strange. I use 10 strands of lights (Bethlehem led outdoor battery operated lights, excellent lights many years now) anyways compared to amazon basics I used past 2 years these batteries last less than half the time. But there was a special deal so I took the deal. Only a few dollar difference. Amazon batteries lasted 79 days at 6 hours (474 hours)a night and did not die I had to shut them off. I saved the amazon batteries since they were still working and used them 8 months later to use the lights for a trunk or treat then used the batteries for other Christmas decor. They have not died yet. Also wanted to note that the weather last year was extremely cold below zero temps and many snow storms. This year the weather has been mild no snow and in the 40s. I would think they would have lasted even longer. As I said still decent batteries but compared to amazon batteries they do not measure upRayovac isn't the top of the line battery company out there, but then again - they don't have to be. They make decent batteries that do the job and do it well enough for the price. Yes, they advertise that they last as long as Duracell, but honestly - I don't care about how well they compare to other batteries. I only care that when I buy them, they are new, they last for a while, and they don't die when I need them the most. The UltraPro line of batteries are fairly cost-effective, last a decent amount of time, and don't seem to spring leaks like so many cheaper battery lines do.Overall, I'm happy with the Rayovac brand. No, I'd never confuse them with other top of the line batteries, which I would recommend buying before these for critical/expensive equipment - but if you're just trying to power your flashlight or a child's toy, these batteries fit the bill and won't break the bank (or the toy).I keep these on hand all the time. I've replaced all my candles (tons and tons of candles) with flameless candles with timers (some with dual timers) that require 2 "C" batts each for 1,000-1,500 hours 'burn' time, depending on the style of 'candle'. I also have solar lanterns that hang from shepherd's hooks looped through my chain link fence Spring through Fall months that use "C"s.Having said that, with this product, my burn time and brightness of the candles and lanterns last much longer than estimated by the manufacturers of those products (Candle Impressions), whether the candles are 'on' all the time or using them with the timers. The same holds true for the extended brightness of the stained glass (plastic) lanterns outside as compared to other C batteries I've tried in the past. They are wonderful for all those times I lose power here (and that's a lot) from wind, storms, rain, freezing rain and drizzle, snow, transformers blowing out, or sneezing. :)I've also given the flameless candles as gifts to those who like the idea of eliminating the safety hazards of real candles that must be carefully placed and watched in their homes and always include these batteries with the gift.Can't go wrong. I monitor this product regularly and pick it up when on sale so I never run out. Reliable, long lasting, dependable, good value. There was no way I was going to pay the insane prices the local drug store would charge for a pack of these heavy duty power sources, so on to Amazon I went, in search of top-quality, highly-rated batteries. These did the trick! It took about three months before I needed to replace the batteries. My candles turn on at dusk (auto-set) and turn off automatically at dawn, to conserve battery power. That said, these batteries lasted a full three months of DAILY use every evening before I needed to replace them. For the price through Amazon (and free shipping with Prime) you can't beat it! Obviously with 4.7 stars this product has been a great product for the vast majority of purchasers. If the batteries turn out to have a short life, you should contact the seller and Amazon and ask for some consideration.I bought these for my wife to power an old cassette recorder that she uses to capture lectures in her graduate student classes. I bought a quantity of 12 since these old recorders are notorious in sucking the life out of batteries pretty fast. Surprisingly enough, these Rayovacs have performed as well as other more expensive C batteries. My wife is happy that she can continue to use her old technology and I'm happy because I don't have to read a new 200 page user manual (and explain it to her) for a new digital recorder.
