The product worked great for what I needed it for. It was reasonably priced.Used in our Christmas wreaths on the front doors, worked for 5 week with no need to recharge.I purchased this on May 8, 2014 to use with my Coleman lantern. As you can see it has been about 4 years and it still works. I usually use the Coleman CPX 6 Rechargeable Power Cartridge but I bought these Rayovac D batteries as backup. Thank goodness I did because we recently had a windstorm and the rechargeable cartridge died. I was worried these Rayovac D batts died as well since it has been quite some years. Although it has a 10 year power guarantee shelf life, we just never know! I do not use the lantern for anything else other than during power outage. Last week was the first time I used the batteries. Otherwise, it pretty much just remain on the shelf. I'm just glad it worked when I needed it.------------------------UPDATE April 26, 2020It's time for another update. It is now April 2020 and the batteries are still working! No corrosion or leaks either. It is 6 years now since I purchased the batteries. I have about another 4 years left, which is 2024. Is it too soon to give it 5 stars or should I wait even longer?I received 2 packages of 6 on 8/22/20. The shrink-wrap packaging does not say alkaline, but it iswritten on the batteries. The batteries I received expire in February 2029. I haven't used them, soI don't know how long they last. This was a good purchase based on the price, expiration date andquickness of the shipping time (Prime). I gave these batteries 4 stars, because the packaging doesn'tsay alkaline.Batteries are Ok. Winter months will tell how the hold up in shed.These batteries were lost by UPS. They were shown as delivered to my front door but alas, no batteries. I contacted Amazon and they refunded my money (they would have reshipped but the item was now out of stock) and gave me a 5$ credit for my trouble. Kudos to Amazon.An update....I complained to my UPS driver and he was surprised that they were not on my porch. Well, it turns out that they delivered them a week later (with no label other than a post it note with my address). So, I am unsure where they were during that week. I called amazon and they said to keep the batteries, keep the refund, and keep the 5$ credit.This set D batteries should be in everyone's emergency toolbox great value long life packaged clear plastic.great valueLove Rayvac products and D batteries in bulk is hard to find, bit pricey but still cheaper than the other brandsEvery single one the batteries in my pack was dented somewhere, so I dropped 1 star for that.That being said none were leaking and they all worked perfectly fine despite the dents. I used three of them in a bright LED lantern while camping and these will have no problem running a light like that for literally days.I bought a package in November 2021 and to my disappointment only 2 out of 6 are good. waste of money. unable to return to get replacement as they are sold and ship by Amazon.
