I have a 16" depth rack and getting this to fix took way longer than it should have. I wasn't able to get it flush in the front exactly as I wanted, but its pretty sturdy for holding a big server without rails.I do think the network product market is a bit overpriced, so I can't claim that the prices on this particular shelf is perfect. But it's a heck of a lot more reasonable than some of the other brands that are of about the same quality but sell for 40% higher prices. This rack shelf is sturdy once all the bolts have been tightened. The depth is adjustable (shelf itself is fixed depth, but the extensions from the shelf to front and back rack posts are adjustable). Once bolted in with two each bolts at each of the four corners, this shelf was able to hold my 30-pound AV receiver with no problem -- no sagging, no movement, no sway. I liked the first two I purchased so much, I ordered a third one for the rest of my entertainment rack.I bought three of these for rack mounted batteries that weigh 100lbs each. These are rated at 150lbs each. When I assembled them, the holes did not line up correctly with my rack, and when the batteries were slid in, they started to bend at the joint where they were screwed together.I did not feel comfortable with three of these high voltage batteries on shelves that looked like they could not hold the weight. Unsafe in my opinion. Unfortunately, I returned them for a refund. They will work great for lighter loads, but not for heavy units.I had to rate these at two stars. They may work at 14 inches but at 20 inches they are weak and sag.The item arrived damaged. Unsure if from shipment. But was able bend them back and it installed fine. Unfortunately I think i want to reduce the size of my server rack and this won't fit then.Extremely overpriced piece of metal (but aren’t they all?) which one of two came damaged. I don’t expect to have to use rubber mallets and pliers, for a brand new purchase, to fit into its designated server rack.Besides the well made and strong, it is beautiful.Exactly as described. Good value.Good quality and fitted as expected. Handy that the size is adjustable. At full extension, the shelf sags as the extending arms are a little loose at longer lengths; some gaps either end which are a little unsightly. Ultimately however, it is serviceable and basically as one would imagine from looking at the pictures.Turns out I have my rack at 29" depth though, so this was a little bit short for my use, but I removed the back arms and rested the back on a 2U shelf mounted to the backside of the rack. This let me shorten the front end so it's at the front of the rack; worked out in the end. I have a 40lb A/V receiver on this and it is quite solid mounted this way (though still, I used some thin wire to support the mid-point to the top of the rack, just in case). It's a bit of a work-around, I had intended to use a proper shelf for the receiver but timelines and availability denied me, so made do!Good fit for my 24 inch deep rack. Simple, and at a great price. Bought two of these, and both were received in great condition with all the screws, nuts and rack nuts.Thank you for the producteasy to use
